The Best Natural Skin Care Routine and Much More!

At one point in my life, I was on SO many facial prescriptions it was unreal. If you haven’t read my previous post about the truth about the health care system- read it here! (No Money In A Cure)!

Once I ditched all of the pills, creams, and chemical filled makeup and cleansers- I finally found the perfect natural skin care routine for me!

Here are my favorite products:

  • Cleanser: Manuka Honey
    • Honey has antibacterial qualities that kill off the bad stuff, naturally! You can also invest in a less expensive honey as long as it’s raw and organic.
    • How to use: Evening only. Lather the honey onto the most troubled areas such as the t-zone. Use as a mask if you’d like for a minimum of 20 minutes up to as long as you want to. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
  • Moisturizer: Rosehip Oil.
    • One of the few oils that doesn’t clog your pores!
    • How to use: Morning and evening. Place a few drops on your fingertips and rub into your skin. Don’t let the orange color scare you. It rubs in flawlessly.
  • Spot Treatment: Tea Tree Oil.
    • Tea tree oil is a potent essential oil that kills bacteria.
    • How to use: Morning and evening. Place a few drops onto a q-tip and rub onto irritated areas.
  • Foundation: Sappho Organic Cosmetics
    • Okay, this stuff is EXPENSIVE. However, it lasts a long time, and it goes on flawlessly.
  • Shampoo/Conditioner: Avalon Organics
    • This has a very odd texture while washing. It almost feels like a weird cleaning solution. However, after the first use, my hair felt softer and thicker. A week into my use, I received multiple compliments about the thickness and shininess of my hair!
  • Soaps: Homemade Natural Soaps
    • I can’t provide a link here because my friend makes all natural soaps and I purchase them from her. I will post the link when they are available to the public! I think we should start a petition to get her soaps on Etsy! Jill… I hope you’re reading this! In the meantime, hit up Whole Foods and purchase some homemade bars of soap there!
  • Deodorant: Hippy Homemaker Pit Paste
    • I’m going to do an entirely different post on my experience and trials with this tough transition. However, I LOVE the pit paste I’m using now.

It has taken me a while to work up to a more natural routine. Start with what you feel comfortable with and add more as you see fitting. Your skin is your largest organ and absorbs almost everything you put on it… so choose wisely!
