Yeah, yeah, yeah… you’ve heard it all before.
But I’m going to tell you again.
Water intake is possibly the most important thing you can give to your body every single day.
If you haven’t jumped on the H2O wagon already, I suggest you do.
Here’s the top 5 reasons to drink more water:
- Aids digestion
- Clearer skin
- Increases energy levels
- Cleans out toxins
- Zero calories
So, how much water should you consume?
Studies show that you should drink half of your weight in ounces.
For example. If you weigh 120 lbs, you should drink 60oz of water a day.
However, according to multiple nutritionists and doctors the minimum intake should be at least 3 liters a day.
At first this may seem like a lot, however, your body will become accustomed to the increased water intake.
Here are my tips and tricks to proper hydration.
I know that I need to drink a minimum of 5 glass 20 oz bottles a day to hit my 3 liters.
Knowing this ensures that I get my proper water intake daily, no matter where I am. Anything else at restaurants (etc) is extra water intake for me and doesn’t count towards my 6 bottled waters.
Another easy way that I keep myself on track is to consume 3 water bottles before lunch and 2 after. It’s easier to track water intake this way.
Let’s take a 30 day challenge.
For 30 days drink half of your weight in ounces.
If you want to go BIG, drink 3 liters a day.
